Modern Renaissance by Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Sorry I’m a bit late to the party – but I thought I would write a quick review about what people have been asking me the most about which is…. The Modern Renaissance Palette!

Seriously…who isn’t obsessed with this palette right now?

The Modern Renaissance palette is Anastasia Beverly Hills first permanent palette with 14 gorgeous highly pigmented neutral and berry tones. There are 11 matte shades and 3 shimmer shades. It is currently retailing on Anastasiabeverlyhills.com for $42 US. Read on to find out what I love about this palette!

The packaging of this palette is so on trend. The outside is a soft lilac/mauve suede with big white font spelling the name of the palette. It also has quite a large mirror inside and comes with a double ended eye shadow brush (which is awesome) It is really unlike the other palette’s I currently have. I’m not sure how easy the outside would be to clean so it is one I’m going to have displayed on my makeup desk rather than in my kit. Sorry about the already swatched palette – I couldnt help myself!

The eye shadows are so soft and buttery – they feel creamy! I did get a small amount of kick up when dipping my brush in but that’s to be expected. The eye shadows are so blendable, highly pigmented and easy to work with. The colour choices in this palette have pushed me to experiment more with berry tones which its not usually what I would lean towards. But the colour choices are making my green eyes pop! ❤
They are all stand out colours but Love Letter, Venetian Red, Burnt Orange and Primavera are my most used in this palette (for now anyway)

The 14 shades are as follows:
Tempera – Velvety beige with an ultra-matte finish
Golden Ochre – Earthy yellow with an ultra-matte finish
Vermeer – Iridescent shell with a metallic finish
Buon Fresco – Antique lavender with an ultra-matte finish
Antique Bronze – Metallic sable with a satin finish
Love Letter- Raspberry with an ultra-matte finish
Cyprus Umber- Dark coffee with an ultra-matte finish
Realgar- Brick with an ultra-matte finish
Warm Taupe- Earthy gray with an ultra-matte finish
Venetian Red- Crimson with an ultra-matte finish
Red Ochre- Sienna with an ultra-matte finish
Primavera- shimmery gold dust with a metallic finish
Burnt Orange- deep orange with an ultra-matte finish
Raw Sienna- neutral amber with an ultra-matte finish

Overall, as you can probably tell, I am obsessed with this product. I have experienced no fall out with the shadows, they blend like a dream, the colours are gorgeous.
I’m so enjoying creating new looks and playing around with this beauty!

  1. I’ve been to sephora multiple times and I’ve missed out every single time. But I’m committed to getting it. So, watch out ABH – I’m coming for you!
